Dear Parents/ Carers,
The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College was inspected by Ofsted on November 2nd & 3rd 2022.
This inspection identified many strengths and acknowledged the positive changes that have been made by Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust and since my appointment last academic year.
The report is clear that ‘leaders are raising expectations’ and have a clear direction for future priorities.
Our broad and ambitious curriculum was recognised, with our Sixth Form curriculum being described as ‘impressive’. Safeguarding and SEND are also strengths.
Inspectors had the opportunity to meet our wonderful students who shared with them their enjoyment of lunch time enrichment, how they valued the school virtues and principles of inclusion and respect, and how they were encouraged to read for pleasure.
