Dear Parent/Carer,
As we come to the end of this term and the calendar year, I wanted to share with you what a brilliant start our students have made in sixth form.
Students have worked hard this first term, and we are pleased with student attendance and the effort and commitment to their studies that year 12 and 13 students have made.
As a college, students have involved themselves in the interform sport that has taken place as well as fundraising activities and many sixth form students played a role, both on stage and off in the wonderful production of Oliver earlier this term.
It is a privilege to watch students grow and learn, especially in their final years at school as they face many important decisions. Every day they demonstrate the college virtues of respect and responsibility, justice and compassion, self-belief and resilience and confidence and honesty.
Attendance is a key part of success and with this in mind, may I politely remind you that medical appointments should, where possible be made out of college time and that non college related commitments, such as driving lessons or part time jobs must not take place during timetabled lessons.
As we move into a new calendar year, please make note of some key dates: Prep exams begin 8th January for two weeks for Year 13 students.
Year 12 and 13 Parents Evening is Thursday 8th February 3.30-6.30 in the sixth form college.
May I wish you a very happy and holy Christmas.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs L Henderson
Head of Sixth Form
