Dear Parent/ Carer,
We are incredibly proud of how Year 11 have started their GCSE examinations. Without exception, they have shown commitment and maturity and have been a credit to you and their families.

External exams begin on Wednesday 8th May 2024 and the final exam takes place on Thursday 20th June 2024. The first whole-cohort exam is RE on Thursday 9th May. Students have already received their individual exam timetables. Students should be in the Dining Hall no later than 8.30am.
Our Sixth Form Library is open from 8.00am and closes at 5.00pm if students wish to revise independently and this dedicated space has computers and stationery to aid revision. There is a timetable of revision for before and after school that will be shared with you.
In-school revision sessions have been scheduled before each exam. This is to give your child the opportunity for any last-minute questions and for focussed revision sessions. Please encourage your child to engage fully in these important sessions. Information regarding these sessions will be sent to you via the app.
A reminder of some key dates:
From May 13th, Lesson 5 will continue as a normal timetabled lesson where students will receive revision support from their subject teacher. Students who wish to study independently from home, may do so from 2.15pm (or when their exam finishes). Students will register in St Anne’s Hall before they will be permitted to leave site.
On Friday 24th May students will celebrate a Year 11 liturgy and have time to sign shirts and have an ice-cream with friends and teachers. Students should bring a second shirt to sign so that they do not write on any shirt they will need to wear in an exam. After the celebrations, students may leave at 12.20pm or they can stay in school to study.
Some students have enquired about purchasing a leavers’ notebook, these are available to purchase using the MCAS app under ‘Products’ at a price of £6. The deadline for purchasing one of these is Monday 6th May 2024.
