Dear Parent/ Carer,
Thank you for all of your continued support for your child during the preparation for and duration of their upcoming, external, final exams. Students have approached their GCSEs with real maturity and dedication. We are very proud of them, and we are looking forward to continuing to support them and their efforts after the Easter break.
I would like to draw your attention to four important items which require your attention at this time. Information is below:
Easter Revision Sessions and Support:
Whilst we do think it is important that Year 11 have some rest and relaxation in the holidays, we also want to maximise the opportunities our students have to revise with their subject teachers and specialists. With this in mind, we are pleased to be able to offer a range of revision sessions in the Easter holidays.
Please complete the Microsoft Forms link below no later than Monday 7th April in order to indicate which sessions your child will be attending: https://forms.office.com/e/GcKC6PYChR
Public Examinations:
Please see the attached Exam Timetable for the Summer exams. We will give your child an individual timetable with seating information in due course. Please note that the Exam Contingency Day, Wednesday 25th June, is the latest date which may be used for any exams. GCSE Summer Exam Timetable
GCSE Results Day:
This will take place on Thursday 21st August. Results will be available from the Sixth Form building from 08:30 am –12.00 noon.
In the event of a student not being able to collect their results in person, please give a letter of authorisation to a family member or friend to collect. Please use / see model version of this below. If you have any queries regarding results, please email our Examinations Officer, Ms Harris, who will be happy to assist. You can reach her on mharris@ems.bhcet.org.uk

Students will be able to enrol into EMS6 on GCSE Results Day, following collection of results, and we are very excited about many of our students choosing to continue their studies with us. If you need any further information on enrolment, please contact Mrs Henderson, Head of Sixth Form, on lhenderson@ems.bhcet.org.uk and she will be able to help and advise.
Hoodies:
If your child ordered a hoodie, we have been informed by the company that these will arrive next week. We plan on distributing them before the Easter break, but this will depend upon delivery. Students will be able to wear this hoodie as a replacement for their blazer. All other uniform should be worn as usual (Shirt, tie, skirt/trousers, tights and school shoes) as per policy. However, please retain your child’s blazer because they will have to wear it for their examinations. Hoodies are not permitted in the exam hall because they have writing on and therefore, they breach exam regulations.
We will write to you again very soon with more detailed plans around revision for exams during May and June and with details of the celebrations planned for Year 11 in their final term with us.
Best wishes
Mr T Rogers
Deputy Headteacher
