Dear Parents/Carers,
Reward Trip to Flamingo Land – September 2025
We are pleased to inform you that we will be running a series of reward trips to Flamingo Land in September, to recognise and celebrate the excellent behaviour and positive attitudes shown by many of our students throughout this academic year.
The trips will take place on the following dates:
- Year 8 – Tuesday 16th September
- Year 9 – Wednesday 17th September
- Year 10 – Thursday 18th September
- Year 11 – Friday 19th September
The total cost of the trip, including transport and entry to Flamingo Land, will be £40.20 per student. Students will leave school at 08:45 and return at approximately 18:00.
A payment link will be set up via the MCAS app (My Child At School) once the consent slip has been returned to the main school office, and further details regarding the trip will be shared closer to the time. Students will be given a physical copy of this letter with a consent form attached.
To ensure this trip remains a genuine reward for students who have consistently demonstrated high standards, we have shared the behaviour expectations and eligibility criteria with all year groups during assemblies last week. These criteria are included below for your reference.
Students will lose their place on the trip if, between Tuesday 10th June and Friday 18th July, they:
- Receive a suspension from school
- Are placed in isolation (once or more)
- Truant one or more lessons
- Receive two or more 'S' removals from lessons
We hope this clear and consistent message will encourage all students to continue making positive choices throughout the remainder of the year.
Please note: While we will do our best, a refund may not be possible should a place be withdrawn due to behaviour concerns.
